02 🌲 The Vibe

Rasa Durio Eco Glampz is a working durian orchard turned weekend escape, tucked into the hills near Kuala Kubu Bharu — and the durian trees are the whole point. The stay options sit right among the fruit trees: glamping bell tents, a hilltop chalet with the view, and a cottage, with two pools, a farm restaurant and fresh durians in season. Reviewers describe it as quiet, tranquil and full of nature — one regular has stayed three times, moving from bell tent to cottage — and the recurring themes are the durians, the nature view and the friendly staff. It leans closer to a glamping retreat than a BYO campground: you arrive, the tents and beds are already there, and the orchard does the rest.

03 🚗 Getting There

The farm is at Lot 481, Jalan Ampang Pecah Rasa, 44200 Kuala Kubu Baru (plus code GJGW+X5), in the hills above Rasa and Kuala Kubu Bharu. From KL it's roughly 1.5 hours — one reviewer timed the drive from Subang Jaya at under an hour and a half. Parking is just off the main road; from there it's a short walk across a suspension bridge and through cool foliage up to the complex, which reviewers describe as an easy, scenic arrival. Access is fine for regular cars.

🚗 ~1.5 hr from KL via KKB📍 GJGW+X5, 44200 KKB🅿 Parking off main road🌉 Suspension bridge walk-in

Reviewers advise going in durian season (typically mid-year) for the full experience — the farm's durians are the headline. The walk-in from the car park is short but on foot, so pack accordingly.

04 🛏️ Staying at Rasa Durio

Staying at Rasa Durio is glamping in the orchard: the bell tents are pitched among the durian trees, while the hilltop chalet takes the view over the trees, river and mountains, and the cottage suits return visitors after their bell tent phase. Google's price widget shows rooms from RM270/night via the official booking link — individual unit rates aren't published, so it's a call-and-confirm situation.

  • Hilltop chalet - The view unit — reviewers praise the outlook over the trees, river and mountains; clean rooms.

⛺ Booking & policies — book via the official link (linktr.ee/rasadurioecoglampz) or call 019-281 8191; check-in is 3:00 pm. Durian season drives demand, so book ahead if you want the fruit-tasting experience. Rates on Google Maps show 'from RM270 per night' — confirm the exact unit and total when booking.

05 🛠 Facilities

🍈 Durian orchard⛺ Bell tents🛏 Chalets & cottage🏊 Two pools🍽 Restaurant on site🌊 River🕌 Prayer room🌉 Suspension bridge🅿 Parking

🍈 Durian orchard— the whole site is the orchard: fruit trees all around, many durian varieties in season, and a restaurant right in the farm (reviewers still can't quite believe it).

🏊 Pools & river— two pools, one near the hilltop chalet and one at the lower section (per a visitor update), plus the river running past the orchard — and once the sun drops, the orchard goes properly dark, so a camping light earns its place in the bag.

🛌 Stay & services— bell tents, hilltop chalet and cottage; clean rooms with toilet and prayer room, friendly staff throughout.

"We are so happy with our half day trip to Rasa Durio Eco Glampz. Thank you so much to Puan Rozinah, her sons & staff for the wonderful experience. Our trip started 8 am from Subang Jaya was smooth & took less than 1 hour 30 minutes. Directions & signage is clear. Car park is ample. Breakfast at Kopi Kisar Kebun sedap although a bit slow but we understand bcoz of full house. Finally the durian is amazing. Musang king's price was so cheap. Really fresh durian ( maybe buah baru gugur mlm td). Durian taste is 5 star heavenly. Many choice of durian type but we only makan MK hehehe. Sebab murah.…"

★★★★☆

"Stayed for just one night at the Hilltop Chalet, nothing much to complain about for a quick getaway. Overall we had a pleasant experience. The room is clean, the environment is nice and the staff were friendly throughout our stay. One of the highlights was getting to enjoy durian at the property at a really good price. Breakfast was simple but enough to get us going. All in all, a nice little escape."

"Very good experience here. The owner was very friendly. Came here during durian season so we managed to eat all the durians. Would definitely come again!"

Google's rating spread (4.6★ / 150 reviews, checked 21 Aug 2026) is consistently positive: the highs are the durians, the nature view and the pools, and reviewers repeatedly call out clean, well-kept facilities and friendly staff. The caveats are mild — reviews skew toward the chalet and retreat experience rather than raw camping, and the durian season clearly marks the peak time to visit. The rating mix (review themes: nature view ×14, chalet ×13, glamping ×5, bell tent ×2, fresh durian ×5) confirms a genuine orchard-glamping destination, not just a restaurant.

08 🏕️ The Camp Tip

Our take on gear & planning
  • The durian season takeaway needs a cooler box. You will not leave with just one fruit — a Blackdog cooler box keeps your haul fresh for the drive home.
  • Pack the picnic mat for the orchard floor. Under the durian trees is where everyone ends up sitting — a Blackdog picnic mat beats damp grass for the fruit session.
  • Two pools and a river mean your phone is always near water. Drop it in a Naturehike phone waterproof bag before the pool rounds.
  • Orchard paths and the riverbank can be slick after rain. A pair of Naturehike wading shoes makes the walk to the river and between the trees easy.
