Mori Leka Campsite

01 Quick Facts
02 🌲 The Vibe
Mori Leka is the tidy, well-run end of the Selangor river scene — a camping ground on the old KL–Ipoh road where the reviews read like a facility checklist and everyone still passes. Plug points on every gravel lot, clean toilets with strong hot-water showers, halal and non-halal fridges, shared wash sinks and fire pits — and barely any mosquitoes, which reviewers call out again and again. The river runs shallow and cold beside the site and leads down to the Serendah waterfall, quiet hours are enforced properly, and the glamping tents are there for the non-campers. 5.0 from 149 reviews is a score that usually means one thing: people keep coming back.
03 🚗 Getting There
Mori Leka sits on Jalan Ipoh (the old KL–Ipoh trunk road, FT1) in the Kampung Orang Asli area above Serendah — about an hour from central KL and roughly 15 minutes from Rawang, heading north towards Kuala Kubu Bharu. The site is easy to find on the trunk road itself; parking is on site. From the North-South Highway, take the Rawang exit and follow Jalan Ipoh north through Serendah town.
Reviewers note the camp enforces strict quiet hours — a genuine plus for families, but worth knowing before you plan a loud late night around the fire. The river is cold even in the afternoon, so the waterfall dip is a wade, not a swim.
04 🛏️ Staying at Mori Leka
Two ways to stay: BYO tent camping on gravel lots, or glamping in fully set-up tents for those who'd rather arrive empty-handed. Every lot gets a plug point and ambient lighting, with shared wash sinks and fire pits along each section. The kitchen block adds halal/non-halal fridges, ice and clean sinks, and the separate male & female showers run strong hot water — the facilities list is closer to a resort than a typical river camp.
- BYO tent lot - Gravel-based lot with plug point, ambient lighting and shared fire pits along each section.
- Glamping - Fully set-up glamping tents available — no pitching needed.
- Facilities - Halal/non-halal fridges, ice, separate male & female hot showers, regularly cleaned toilets.
05 🛠 Facilities
🌊 River & waterfall— a shallow, clean and cold river runs beside the site and leads down to the Serendah waterfall; the dip at the camp is a wade over a pebbly bed.
🔌 Lots & lighting— each gravel lot has its own plug point, ambient string lighting comes on around the camp at night, and shared wash sinks and fire pits sit along each section.
🧊 Kitchen & toilets— halal/non-halal fridges plus ice at the kitchen block; separate male & female showers with strong hot-water pressure, and toilets that reviewers consistently call very clean.
06 💬 What Campers Are Saying
"5/5 – Would definitely go back! Just spent a night at Mori Leka Campsite and had a great stay. The site itself is exceptionally clean—the CO literally sweeps leaves twice a day, and the bathrooms and sinks are cleaned regularly. Facilities are top-notch. Each has a full gravel base, plug points, and nice ambient lighting all around at night with shared wash sinks and fire pits along each section. Also available are halal/non-halal fridges, ice, separate male & female showers/bathrooms, etc. Also barely dealt with any mosquitoes, aside from a brief period in the evening. There's a shallow, clean,…"
"Went here for a camping trip with my family of four, and we had the whole place to ourselves during the week we stayed hahaha. We absolutely loved the facilities…everything was super clean, I must say. It was quiet at night with such a cool, relaxing breeze. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and they were always cleaning up the place, which we really appreciated. Special credit also needs to go to the campsite owner, who came to our rescue during our “dying and scary moment” at around 2.30am 😂 We heard something outside our tent, and mind you, it was just the four of us there hahaha.…"
"Great campsite with top-notch facilities, friendly staff, and excellent cleanliness. We'd definitely recommend it. We stayed at A12, which fits a NH Village 13 well, with extra space behind i think can fit autodome. The only downside is the lack of privacy due to the sink in front and the walkway to the toilets. The river is okay, with a strong current in deeper areas and calmer areas are quite shallow, and occasionally there was a slight odor from the river/surrounding. Bonus: Serendah Waterfall is within walking distance."
"One of the best campsite. Plug point at each lot, clean toilet with strong hot water pressure. Little to no flies and mosquitoes. Campsite enforces strict quiet hours. Very clean and access to river (water is cooling). Area is very safe, has CCTV and CO and workers survey area to prevent unauthorised people coming in. Other facilities: coway water dispenser, fridge, hair dryer and a mini mart. The place is well managed and cared. They have ATV services packages for some outdoor fun!"
"Beautiful camping site with a very peaceful environment. There are lots of trees providing great shade and cool air during the day. The facilities are well maintained, and the hot water is a big plus. Most importantly, the management is extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing camping experience!"
Google's rating spread (5.0★ / 149 reviews, checked 21 Aug 2026) is about as clean as it gets: the recurring praise is cleanliness (toilets, showers, the site itself), the facility list (plug points, fridges, hot water) and the river-to-waterfall setting with low mosquito pressure. The honest caveats are that rates are not published anywhere — you call or message to book — and the shared amenities (fridges, fire pits) get busier on weekends. Quiet hours are a feature, not a bug.

08 🏕️ The Camp Tip
- River days mean your feet meet the stones. The creek runs shallow but over a rocky bed with a fast current on the way to the Serendah waterfall — a pair of Naturehike wading shoes turns the crossing into a walk.
- Pack a towel that dries before dinner. After the dip you walk back through the gravel lots — a Naturehike quick dry towel is dry again by the time the fire's lit.
- The shared fridges work, but they're shared. Halal and non-halal fridges live at the kitchen block — on a full weekend, keep the drinks at your lot in a Blackdog cooler box and leave the fridge for the big stuff.
- Give the riverbank a clean base. The lots are gravel and the water's edge is pebbly — a Mobi Garden picnic mat keeps the kids' snacks out of the stones.
