01 Quick Facts
02 🌲 The Vibe
D'Embun Village is a family-run riverside campsite at Kampung Jahang / Pintu Padang, Gopeng, set beside the Sungai Jahang with forest, hills and oil palm all around. The owner, Pak Wan, describes it simply as priceless natural scenery - and the tiny but perfect review record (4.8★ from 8 reviews, all positive) backs him up.
Reviewers use words like calm, healing and clean, and single out the friendly, humble owner and the clean river water. It offers tent plots, a chalet and gazebo stays, with river activities - swimming (mandi-manda), BBQ, ATV and rafting - all on the doorstep.
It's ideal for families and quiet nature weekends away from the crowds. Go in knowing the access road is a bit rough and the phone signal is limited on site - pack patience and directions, and message Pak Wan ahead.
03 🚗 Getting There
The camp is about 5.8 km from Gopeng town centre at Kg Jahang / Pintu Padang, roughly 21 km / 30-40 minutes from Ipoh (estimate from coordinates).
Several visitors flag the access road as a bit challenging/rough and note limited phone signal on site - screenshot directions before you go and let Pak Wan know your ETA on WhatsApp.

Google's rating spread (checked 20 Aug 2026: 5★ 6 · 4★ 2 · 3★ 0 · 2★ 0 · 1★ 0) is perfect and small - a young listing with a tiny sample, so treat the 4.8 as promising rather than proven. The highs are the friendly, humble owner, clean tidy grounds, calm atmosphere and clean river water. The lows are practical: rough access road, peak-time crowds, limited phone signal and a fast-ish river for small children.

08 🏕️ The Camp Tip
- River days with kids - the Sungai Jahang is clean but moves a little fast: wading shoes for the riverbed, a quick-dry towel for the kids, and keep small children close in the water.
- Off-grid evenings - no power on site and forest all around: a headlamp beats fumbling with your phone after sunset.
- Gear that survives the road - the access road is rough and signal drops: pack everything in a Mobi Garden storage bag so nothing gets lost between the car and the plot.
