Tree Tent Campsite (a.k.a. Gopeng Tree Tent) is a paid, own-tent campsite tucked into the rainforest beside the river on Jalan Batu Putih, Gopeng. The review word that keeps coming back is "sangat tenang" - very peaceful - with a nice river view, clean grounds and a friendly, helpful camp keeper.

Gopeng sits about 20 km south of Ipoh; Tree Tent is a short drive off the main road into the rainforest on Jalan Batu Putih, roughly 1 km from the main road. Look for the camp sign between the trees.
The camp runs along the river with the rainforest around it - the approach is straightforward but it is a genuine forest setting, so arrive before dark if you can and let the camp keeper know your ETA on WhatsApp.
