01 Quick Facts
02 🌲 The Vibe
Murni Camp is a long-running riverside camping ground set inside a fruit orchard in Kampung Jahang, Gopeng — the same riverside recreation area as REX Camp and Jahang Eco Camp. It has hosted families for years, with tent lots, air-conditioned chalets and an RV area spread under the orchard trees.
The Google record is 4.5★ from 425 reviews — a large, long-lived sample. Regulars praise the friendly host, Tn Hj Abdul Wahid, clean chalets with fresh linen, and the BBQ gazebos right by the water. A reviewer's 4D3N family reunion speaks for itself.
It's best for families and groups who want a simple river weekend — mandi sungai, BBQ, picnics and orchard shade. Go in knowing it sits close to the highway (engine noise is audible, reviewers note), the river current varies with weather, and camping lots can flood after very heavy rain — book early and pick your spot.

04 🛏️ Staying at Murni Camp
You pitch on a tent lot among the orchard trees, rent a tent from the camp, take an air-conditioned chalet (fresh linen, reviewers say), or park an RV — with the river and BBQ gazebos a short walk away.
- Tent lots (own or rented) - Rent a tent or bring your own for a nominal fee (a picnic mat helps under the orchard trees) — the classic river-camping option.
- AC chalets - Clean rooms with fresh, nice-smelling linen; families with kids rate them highly.
- RV camping area - Dedicated RV space on the grounds — part of why this camp has such a loyal following.
05 🛠 Facilities
🍢 The BBQ gazebos — by the river, made for family gatherings — a recurring highlight in reviews alongside the orchard setting.
🏠 The chalets — air-conditioned with clean linen; reviewers specifically praise tidy rooms and toilets, and the host's service.
🏞️ The river — bathing and swimming on site, but the current is strong depending on weather — choose a safe spot for kids.
06 💬 What Campers Are Saying
"Room ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Reasonably comfortable, I like the flat pillow, the blanket was thin which made us increase the temperature of the Aircond to not freeze. The mattress was okay, not so soft. Room is made of wood, with an attached bathroom. No lamps, only ceiling light, fan and Aircond. There was cloths hooks, no table and chairs, simple cupboard was provided. 2 plug points, no internet details in the room. Bathroom ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ No heater, just a rain shower which was enough, you don’t need a heater when it’s already very humid there. Toilet was clean, with a bidet and tissue roll,…"
"Thank you to the host, Tn Hj Abdul Wahid. Comfortable, tidy, and clean chalet accommodation. A generous breakfast is served and placed at the door. The river is safe for swimming, with water reaching an adult’s knee level. All the facilities are very satisfactory."
"I love this place. Their service is so good . I recommended this place ."
"I was here for white water rafting activities from morning till afternoon only. Not staying for the night. It was a very nice experience. The place is clean and managed well. There are lots of cats there just in case you don't like cats. 😬 The facilities are enough from my point of view. Toilets and showers are available. Surau is also available for Muslims. They provided a water dispenser too there in case you want to top up your water bottle with hot or cold. Camping sites are available for reservations I believe. They provide a few water pipes to wash hands/plates. BBQ ports are available too from what I observed.…"
"beautiful and clean place but very close to the highway..the sound of motorbike and truck engines is quite clear..the nature vibe is not fun for me."
Google shows 4.5★ from 425 reviews (5★×272, 4★×106, 3★×31, 2★×9, 1★×7 — checked 21 Aug 2026), a large, long-running sample. The highs: friendly host, clean chalets, BBQ gazebos by the river and the orchard setting. The honest caveats: highway noise is audible, the river current varies with weather, and parts of the site can flood after heavy rain — book early and choose your spot carefully.

08 🏕️ The Camp Tip
- The riverbed here is rocky and the current varies — a pair of Naturehike wading shoes makes mandi sungai safe for the kids.
- The BBQ gazebos are the star — a Mobi Garden grill turns your family gathering into a proper riverside BBQ.
- Heavy rain can flood parts of the site — a Naturehike tarp over your tent lot is cheap insurance for a rainy Gopeng weekend.
- Orchard picnics are the vibe here — a Mobi Garden camping table keeps the food off the grass under the trees.
