The camp is on Jalan Besar, Kampung Pintu Padang in Gopeng - roughly 21 km / 25-30 minutes from Ipoh (estimate from coordinates), right beside Rock Garden Camping Resort (Waze/Google: search Rock Garden and look next door).
There is no official website yet - booking and questions go through WhatsApp 018-406 2660 or the Facebook page. Signal on site is a weak-but-usable 1-2 bars of 4G on the main networks.
04 🛏️ Staying at Awan Malam
You book one of about 7-8 numbered tent lots facing the river and bring your own tent - a simple, compact site where the own tent is the whole experience.
- Riverside lots - Most lots look out over the river; the site is compact, so every spot is close to the water and the stall.
- Day-use welcome - The camp also does picnic/day-use by the river compound, with chalets nearby for non-campers.
- Plug points on site - Each lot area has plug access - enough for lights, fans and charging.

🍳 The food stall - campers rave about the Nasi Goreng Kampung and keropok lekor served hot by the river - the closest thing to a camp canteen in this part of Gopeng.
🌊 The river - clean water with a gentle stretch suitable for kids, plus faster rapids for rafting/fun further along. Fishing (mancing) is a regular pastime.
