A quiet kampung riverside campsite in Baling where families pitch tents by a clear, shallow river and rent pondok huts for day trips. Mornings are cool (~21°C) and the jungle greenery makes it feel properly off-grid, minus the toilets being genuinely good.
- River & swimming - The river is clear and shallow — deepest point under 1 m, so kids from about 4 years up can splash safely (supervise anyway). Floats (pelampung) rent for RM5-10. The current is mild by the guard counter; crossing the wooden bridge to the far side hut is easy unless you're hauling lots of gear.
- Camping & pondok - Camping is RM20 per site for a day and a night. Prefer walls? Pondok huts rent by size: RM50 (4-5 pax), RM60 (6-7 pax), RM80 (8-10 pax) for day use 9.30am-6pm, plus parking. BBQ set with table is RM20 extra.
- Facilities & comfort - The new toilet and surau block gets the most praise — clean, comfortable, with fast fresh water piped from the hills. A tiny kiosk sells keropok and instant noodles. Bring your own everything else; note that only Celcom phone line works reliably, and mosquitoes come out from 5pm.

🏕️ Camping sites — RM20 per site for a day and a night along the riverbank. No plugpoints at tent sites, but the setting — jungle greenery and river sounds — makes up for it. Campfires/BBQ welcome with the RM20 BBQ set + table.
🛶 River & bridge — A clear, shallow river (deepest under 1 m) with a wooden bridge to the far bank. Floats rent for RM5-10. Water is cool and fast-fresh, straight from the hills; the current by the guard counter is mild enough for kids.
🚻 Toilet & surau — A newly built toilet and surau block is the standout facility — reviewers call it beautiful, clean and comfortable, with strong fresh piped water. One earlier review says facilities were 'seadanya' (basic), so standards have clearly improved.
🏪 Mini kiosk — A small on-site gerai sells keropok and instant noodles for snack emergencies. Reviewers suggest the operator could stock more (drinks, chips) — plan to bring your own supplies.

"Teratak Simpul Campsite, awalnya saya tak pasti boleh camping ke tidak sebab tidak nampak tapak with plugpoint. Cuma nampak ada pondok untuk disewa. Airnya tak dalam. Sangat sesuai untuk kanak kanak. Paling dalam pun x sampai 1 meter. InsyaAllah selamat untuk budak 4 tahun ke atas. Ada jambatan menyeberangi sungai cuma hati hati sebab hujung binaan agak tajam dan boleh cederakan. CO mungkin boleh improve tang ni. Sewa pondok dalam RM30 hingga RM60 semalam atau seharian, bergantung jenis pondok. Paling dipuji ialah toilet dan surau baru yang dibina di sebarang. Memang cantik, bersih, selesa dan tiptop. Air paip pun laju dna segar, sebab dari air bukit katanya. Ada mini gerai jual keropok dan mee segera. Maybe boleh tambah lagi jualan macam ayaq, kerepek etc. Recommended untuk yang nak mencuba. Line celcom ok. Yang lain out mcm maxis pun out. Bolrh sewa pelampung dalam RM5/RM10 ikut size."
