06 💬 What Campers Are Saying
"I had a great and enjoyable time here. Basic necessities are provided (kitchen sink, gas stove, fridge, toilet with shower etc..) The view from dawn till dusk is amazing. Roads are bit scary for small cars and newbie drivers. They provide rental tents and set-up if you opt for it, and it even comes with pillows! A surprise plus!"
"love this hidden spot! it's quiet. bundu tuhan the quiet calmer part of kundasang. accessible by car. mine was a 1.3 bezza. although may be scary for some drivers, as it's steep in some areas and may need some manoeuvering. but roads are ok even if it rains. tar roads and cemented roads. facilities are great. plus point is the toilets and shower, nice. direct open view of mt kinabalu. nothing blocking. so its beautiful waking up to that in the morning."
"First, we made sure several times with the person in charge that someone would help us set up our tent, as this was our first time bringing our own tent... Unfortunately, when we arrived, the staff told us they had no idea how to install the tent. This was very disappointing and made us feel misled... The second issue was the large number of flies around the campsite, especially near the kitchen area... The third issue was the toilet facilities. There were only one or two toilets available for many camping families."
4.7★ from 13 reviews — almost all 5★ praise for the Kinabalu view and clean facilities, one 4★ on a still-new site, and one 2★ calling out missed tent-assist promises, flies and toilet queues.

08 🏕️ The Camp Tip
- Families camp here all weekend — a Naturehike headlamp keeps the kids comfortable, and a Blackdog grill handles the everyday gear.
- Rainforest nights get humid — a Shinetrip sleeping bag upgrades the tent, and a Naturehike mosquito repellent keeps water flowing at your lot.
- Kombuutan Camping & Nature Trails sits by a river — a Wellhike mosquito net hammock makes river sessions easier, and a Ise Mount tableware keeps everyone dry between swims.
09 ❓ FAQ
Q1How do I book a campsite or cabin?
Call or WhatsApp +60 17-773 5774 — there's no online booking. Advance booking is strongly advised for weekends and public holidays, and for cabins since there are only a few.
Q2How much does it cost?
No official price list is published; rates are quoted when you book. Campers call it cheap, but expect extras like paid tent-setup help and paid firewood.
Q3Is the road okay for a small car?
Yes, but it's steep in places — one camper drove a 1.3-litre Bezza up fine, others call it scary for new drivers. Tarred and cemented, so it holds up in rain, but check road conditions with the camp first in the rainy season.
Q4Do they provide tents?
Yes — tents can be rented with setup included (at an extra fee) and even come with pillows. Book ahead so they keep one for you.
Q5What facilities are on site?
Toilets with hot showers, a gas kitchen with sink and fridge, sockets and electricity, free parking, trash cans, campfire wood — plus a few AC cabins with TV that sleep up to 4.
