01 Quick Facts
02 🌲 The Vibe
JIWACAMP Sungai Pandan is a riverside camping ground with a proper waterfall as the headline act — organised, family-friendly, and surprisingly complete for a nature camp. The site spreads along the Sungai Pandan riverbank with the waterfall a short walk upstream; lots are grassy and shaded, and the camp stays bright at night with soft lighting around the main area.
The water is the star: reviewers describe clear, tranquil river flow that's safe enough for kids to play in while staying within sight of camp. Evenings are genuinely chill — campers describe the whole site feeling like a small village, with calm lighting, an open-space theatre vibe and night baths in the river. The morning hike up to the top of Pandan Waterfall (about RM20, a gentle 20-minute trail) is a recurring highlight.
It suits families, first-time campers and weekend groups from Kuantan who want nature without roughing it — the cafe, surau and mini shop cover the basics, and the waterfall makes the trip feel like more than just camping.

At night, very chill environment, all campers are there just like a small village, calm lighting, open space theater, night bath in the river ...... Not forget the mention, they even offer hiking activity in the morning to the top of Pandan fall (RM20, about 20 min easy hiking journey) 1 "
"Had a pretty good experience here, nice waterfall, campers can come early before it gets crowded with outsiders, Cafe available at campsite if you can’t cook (lol) Toilets and sinks provided, electricity from 7pm to 7am Good place to connect with nature, only downside is we weren’t told to book hiking in advance, resulting in no activity for our second day Marketing and advertising should be improved, please mention activities are supposed to be booked in advance, not everyone has experience so some (like us) won’t know"

08 🏕️ The Camp Tip
- The riverbank is all smooth pebbles. Between the camp and the waterfall the footing is rocky — a pair of Naturehike wading shoes makes crossing comfortable and keeps your feet safe on the slippery stones.
- Mornings by the river are misty. After a night next to Sungai Pandan, gear and ground sheet come up damp — a Naturehike quick dry towel dries in minutes and packs small.
- Electricity only runs 7pm-7am. Daytime is solar only, so keep your power bank in a Naturehike dry bag and charge devices once the power comes on.
- Waterfall pools bring the mozzies. Shaded, slow water near the falls is prime mosquito territory at dusk — a Naturehike mosquito repellent on ankles and arms keeps the evening pleasant.
