02 🌲 The Vibe

CampRED is a clean, private highland campsite terraced into the hillside above Bukit Tinggi — the reliable repeat-visit pick for campers who want comfort with their cold nights. Lots sit along the terraced slope with trees for shade, views over the slope, and a quiet, relaxing atmosphere that reviewers come back for again and again.

The comfort level is the headline: hot showers — a genuine rarity at Malaysian campsites — plus BBQ pits, drinking water points, charging points and even board games for guests. Reviewers repeatedly call it one of the cleanest and best-managed campsites they have stayed at, and the Berjaya Hills resort facilities are close by if you want a proper meal or a coffee.

It suits families, couples and small groups who want cold highland weather without roughing it — just note daytime can get hot in the dry season, and a few reviewers flagged fire ants around grass areas, so keep food sealed and check the ground before pitching.

"Been there about 5 times already and already booked my next trip for June. A fantastic place that offers privacy, all the necessary facilities like a well built shed where we can charge our appliances, and chill I'm case it gets too hot outside and a clean toilet/bathroom with heater. The water from the tanks are filtered, which means it is clean and drinkable. A plus point is Camp RED's own private waterfall just 5 minutes of a leisurely hike from the main campsite grounds. 👍"

"First time to campred, compare to other campsite and this is 1 of the cleanest and well managed campsite. Cooling night but hottest weather in the afternoon, nice and cool sunrise and private waterfall. It is totally fine to bring and threw your own rubbish coz rubbish bin just 8mins drive away n it's located at behind of rabbit farm. Clean toilet but just need to queue for water heater. Got fire ants but just bring along your own insect repellent to spray around your tent before set up. Overall is a nice campsite with semi facilities which is good enough. If you're super OCD then pls dont choose here for camping 🙂 Trip type Vacation Travel group Solo Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights Kid-friendly, Great value "

"Lovely campsite, with very clean facilities. There is hot shower too. We appreciated that in the night as it turned chilly. Charging points, and chilled bottled drinks available for purchase. The waterfall, about 10 minutes walk away, is amazing! There are other hiking trails which we didn't have time to try. Credit must be given to the care giver too for maintaining the place. We were looking for a place in nature to rest for the night. Thankful to Patrick for accommodating us last minute notice! "One of the best campsites we’ve been to so far. Staffs are friendly and the place is very well maintained with great facilities. I love how they have the recyclables and compost bin ready for those who are environmental friendly as well. The place is quiet and nice. Definitely one of the places for a return camp visit. 08 🏕️ The Camp Tip

Our take on gear & planning
  • Highland nights at Bukit Tinggi turn properly cold. The temperature drops fast after sunset — a Wellhike thermos of hot drink by the tent is the difference between a cosy and a shivery evening.
  • Bring a bag rated for the chill. CampRED sits high enough that a summer bag leaves you cold by 2am — a Wellhike sleeping bag rated for cooler nights keeps you asleep.
  • Paths between lots are unlit. After dark the terraced site goes properly dark — a Naturehike headlamp frees your hands for the walk to the toilets.
  • Pack light for the terraced pitch. Lots sit on a slope above the drop-off point — a comfortable Naturehike backpack beats dragging a wheeled bag over the steps.
